RSPCA puts down 53,000 animals in just one year

The RSPCA put down more than 53,000 animals last year, nearly half the total it took in. A spokeswoman said: “While there continues to be too many animals being bred, and we continue to take in more animals than there are willing re-homers, we will continue to have this dilemma.”
