These terms apply to bookings for The Power of Connection: Human and Animal Wellbeing, taking place at Warwick Conferences, University of Warwick, on Thursday 3 December 2026.
By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
1. Bookings and payment
Your place is confirmed once your registration has been completed and payment has been received.
The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that the information provided is accurate. If you book on behalf of someone else, you must make sure they receive these terms and all relevant event information.
Any eligibility requirements for member, student or other discounted tickets must be met at the time of booking. AWSELFA may request reasonable evidence of eligibility.
2. What the ticket includes
The ticket includes admission to the conference, refreshments and lunch.
Travel, accommodation and other personal expenses are not included.
3. Delegate cancellations
If you need to cancel your place, please contact [email protected] in writing.
Refunds will be provided as follows:
i. Cancellation received at least 14 calendar days before the conference: full refund.
ii. Cancellation received fewer than 14 calendar days before the conference: no refund.
Refunds will be made using the original payment method wherever possible. These arrangements do not affect any statutory rights that may apply.
No refund will normally be provided for non-attendance.
4. Transferring a place
You may transfer your place to another person without charge by notifying AWSELFA at [email protected] up until the day of the conference.
The replacement delegate must meet any eligibility requirements attached to the original ticket and provide the information needed for catering and accessibility.
5. Changes to the programme
AWSELFA may make reasonable changes to the programme, speakers, timings or running order where necessary.
A change of speaker or individual session will not normally entitle delegates to a refund, provided that the conference goes ahead and its overall purpose remains substantially unchanged.
6. Cancellation or postponement by AWSELFA
If AWSELFA cancels the conference for reasons within their control, delegates will be offered a full refund of the ticket price paid.
If the conference is postponed for reasons within AWSELFA’s control, delegates will be offered the choice of transferring their booking to the new date or receiving a full refund of the ticket price paid.
AWSELFA is not responsible for delegates’ travel, accommodation or other associated costs. Delegates are advised to use flexible or refundable arrangements where possible.
AWSELFA will not be held liable or responsible for any failure to perform their obligations if the conference is delayed, cancelled, or suspended due to a Force Majeure Event. This includes, but is not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, fire, flood, epidemic or pandemic, or government restrictions. In such cases, the booking may be rescheduled, or refunded minus direct operational costs already incurred.
7. Dietary and accessibility requirements
Delegates should tell AWSELFA about any dietary requirements, food allergies, accessibility requirements or reasonable adjustments when registering, or as soon as possible afterwards.
We will work with the venue to make reasonable arrangements but may not be able to accommodate all requirements. Please contact [email protected] if you would like to discuss your requirements confidentially.
While the venue will take reasonable precautions, delegates with severe allergies should contact the venue before booking so that available arrangements can be discussed.
8. Delegate conduct
AWSELFA aims to provide a welcoming, inclusive and respectful environment.
Delegates must behave professionally and comply with reasonable instructions from AWSELFA and venue staff. Harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour or serious disruption will not be accepted.
AWSELFA reserves the right to refuse admission or require a delegate to leave where their conduct presents a risk to others or significantly disrupts the event. A refund will not normally be provided in these circumstances.
9. Photography and video recording
Photography or filming may take place during the conference for reporting and promotion of AWSELFA’s activities.
Delegates will be told how to indicate that they do not wish to appear in identifiable photographs or recordings. AWSELFA will take reasonable steps to respect these preferences.
Delegates must not make audio or video recordings of presentations without permission from AWSELFA and the relevant speaker. Any photography by delegates should respect the preferences and privacy of others.
10. Personal information
AWSELFA will use delegates’ personal information to administer bookings, take payment, provide event information, make appropriate catering and accessibility arrangements, and manage the conference.
Information will only be shared with the venue or other suppliers where necessary for these purposes.
Information about accessibility or dietary requirements will be handled sensitively and access will be limited to those who need it.
Essential communications about this booking are separate from any optional consent to receive information about future AWSELFA events.
11. Personal property and liability
Delegates are responsible for their personal belongings while attending the conference. AWSELFA is not responsible for loss or damage.
